This trio is a variant on a concept first documented on last year’s Großes Messer CD release on Walter’s ugEXPLODE Records label (www.ugEXPLODE.com) highlighting West Coast multi-reedist journeyman Golia’s furious excursion into totally free-improvised forms. Featuring Adam Lane on bass in lieu of Oakland based Damon Smith, this high-energy trio will most likely run the gamut from a whisper to a roar, maintaining maximum tension and intensity and a varied approach to spontaneous structure. This is furious, melodic and articulate free music at its best.
